1) You drive at right lane of the road, with a speed of only 50 KM/H. If people horn behind you, you still don’t know what’s wrong.
2) You have the luxury of working from 8 AM to 5 PM (get off work punctually).
3) You don’t believe that there is any “clean” politician in Sabah.
4) You feel “obligated” to reach the top of Mount Kinabalu at least once in a lifetime.
5) You prefer a big car than a big house (probably you can’t drive a big house around to show off).
6) You wear slipper and short wherever you go, even in city.
7) You still think that Labuan is belong to Sabah.
8) You will not go to any FREE seminar / function that has no food or refreshment.
9) You don’t care about service. You just want things cheap, cheap, cheap…
10) You know where to get your candles and torch light quickly in the total darkness (due to training by frequent blackout).

11) You do not know how to differentiate a local and an illegal immigrant anymore.
12) you always great people with , ‘boss’ and use alot of ‘bah’
13) You wait for others to voice out your concern. You keep your mouth shut in the meeting, never participate in any public hearing, and never lodge a formal complaint in your whole life. But your mouth cannot close during the lunch time and in kopitiam, to complain that nobody does anything about your concern.

15) willing to drive around the shop block until you find a parking spot right in front of the shop you want to go to. (heaven forbid if you have to walk further than 10 meters from your car to your destination.)
16) when you are abroad, you tell people you are from sabah, as if sabah was a country, not a state.
you do classified sabahan that way huuuhh..
i am still wondering.. what other people think about local people.. i do agree some of your point.. i am pure local people but i never wear sliper or short when i go out.. so, i simply miss that points.Please do not make a joke based on
general people.Just do it in more spesific way..
One thing.. sabahan is quite sensetive reference.most people think about dusun or orang asli when refering to sabahan.. but do you know, chinese people who born here and stay here permenently since their grandfather is sabahan also..

For me, Sabahans are anyone who were born in Sabah and hold a valid Malaysia I/C. Therefore, I also consider myself as a Sabahan though I am a Chinese (or orang tiong hua, to be politically correct). I don’t see I get any wrong mindset.
Anyway, it is just a joke. Do not take it so seriously. 🙂
