A bird with bald head, haha..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_2.jpg\" alt=\"Lesser Coucal\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Lesser Coucal<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is one of the best known birds for village people. They think Lesser Coucal has the formula to heal broken bone, so they would purposely break the bone of its chick. The parent will bring back the herb to heal the chick.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_3.jpg\" alt=\"Little Cuckoo-Dove\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Little Cuckoo-Dove<\/strong><br \/>\nSpotted in hill forest of Tambunan. This dove was taking a nap after heavy meal of fruits.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_4.jpg\" alt=\"Little Egret\"\/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_11.jpg\" alt=\"Little Egret\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Little Egret<\/strong><br \/>\nThough this bird is migratory bird. We see them all year round, mainly around dumpster sites.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_5.jpg\" alt=\"Little Pied Flycatcher\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Little Pied Flycatcher<\/strong><br \/>\nSpotted in hill forest of Tambunan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_6.jpg\" alt=\"Little Spiderhunter\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Little Spiderhunter<\/strong><br \/>\nThe commonest spiderhunter species, but I am always confused them with sunbirds.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_7.jpg\" alt=\"Long-tailed Parakeet\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Long-tailed Parakeet<\/strong><br \/>\nA agricultural pest as they feed on fruits and seeds. A bit surprise to see one in Tanjung Aru Beach.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_8.jpg\" alt=\"Magpie Robin\"\/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_9.jpg\" alt=\"Magpie Robin\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Magpie Robin<\/strong><br \/>\nA common singing bird, always seen around housing and forest edge. Chinese calls this bird &#8220;Happy Bird&#8221; (\u559c\u9e4a) as they believe this bird is a messenger for good news.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_10.jpg\" alt=\"Malaysian Blue Flycatcher\"\/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/2010\/20101228_13.jpg\" alt=\"Malaysian Blue Flycatcher\"\/><br \/>\n<strong>Malaysian Blue Flycatcher<\/strong><br \/>\nSpotted in Maliau Basin and Kinabatangan (Sandakan).<\/p>\n<p><small><em>Photos taken in Sabah, Malaysia Borneo<\/em><\/small><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indigo Flycatcher Spotted in Kinabalu Park.
