Fortunately, you can find one of the best Beaufort Mee in KK. The noodle is soft and &#8220;juicy&#8221;, but not oily. Yes, it does taste better than ordinary noodle. But I must tell you that this vegetable is the &#8220;secret weapon&#8221; of Restoran Beaufort. It&#8217;s Chinese Mustard or Choy-Sim (\u83dc\u5fc3 in Chinese, <em>Sawi Manis<\/em> in Malay), the most commonly used vegetable for any type of noodles in Sabah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"723\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4-1280x723.jpg\" alt=\"Beaufort Mee Goreng (Beaufort Fried Noodle)\" class=\"wp-image-14180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4-1280x723.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4-700x396.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4-768x434.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4-1536x868.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.mysabah.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20240119_4.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">However, they are using <strong>organic vegetable<\/strong> and it makes a big difference. It is fresh, sweet and crunchy! The owner told me that they appoint farmer to plan organic vegetable for them and it costs almost twice as expensive than the organic veg from Ranau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Other restaurants in Kota Kinabalu City that serve good Beaufort Mee are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100071864464104\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New Foh Chuan (\u4fdd\u4f5b\u65b0\u4f19\u8239)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=100063995563733\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">KK Beaufort Restaurant<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kedai Makan dan Minum Foh Chuan (\u8001\u4f19\u8239\u9762\u7ca5\u5c0f\u9986)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, you don&#8217;t mind driving 1.5 hours to Beaufort to try Beaufort Mee. The shop closes earlier so they can make Beaufort Mee in the afternoon. I strongly advise you to visit this restaurant in early morning because their handmade Beaufort Mee is sold out fast. They only have factory-made noodle for latecomers, sad if you drive 1.5 hours for real Beaufort Mee.
