The Energizer Rechargeable Batteries really sucks nowadays. Energizer Rechargeable Batteries WAS used to be good. 3 years ago, I bought 4 AA Energizer NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (1800mAh). They worked fine on my digital camera, so last year I bought another 4 new AA Energizer NiMH Rechargeable Batteries, with higher capacity, 2500mAh. Later I found that my 2-year-old 1800mAh batteries could last much more longer than my brand new 2500mAh batteries. After using the new 2500 mAh batteries for less than 6 months, they all not functioning. My 2-year-old 1800 mAh batteries also died shortly.
At first I still thought Energizer was good and I was just unlucky to get the defective ones, so I bought another 4 new AA 2500mAh Energizer NiMH Rechargeable Batteries again from Huat Ming Karamunsing. I left them in my drawer for 1 week. After a full recharge, I only could take a few shots then the batteries died. I asked Huat Ming to give me a replacement, but they refused coz it was purchased more than 3 days. OK… you all learn it now. Check your battery (and other electronic appliances) condition immediately soon after purchase. Below is the picture of all the died Energizer Batteries. I am going to dump these junk that costed me RM180, ah… so painful…
I also heard from others that the quality of Energizer Rechargeable Battery is dropping badly. But what truly irritated me was to find that all 8 “fully-charged” Energizer batteries were not working at the critical photo shooting moment. That losses can’t be measured with $$$. You want to take the risk? Think twice.
Now I am using Sony brand Rechargeable Batteries. It costs the same, but with better stamina (faster flash recharge and last longer). Probably it works best with my Sony Cybershot camera.
