Maliau Basin, which covers an area of 588 Sq. Kilometers, is nearly the size of Singapore. Besides high density of wildlife, it has more than 10 types of vegetation such as lowland rainforest, mixed hill dipteropcarp forest, heath forest and sub-montane forest.
